📘 What is Present Simple Tense? Present Simple Tense is used to describe:
• Ongoing actions or events
• Habits or regular actions
• Universal truths or facts
• Scheduled events in the near future
বাংলারূপঃ
এই Tense দ্বারা বর্তমান কালের কোন কাজ/ঘটনা, অভ্যাস/প্রকৃতি, চিরন্তন সত্য বা স্বাভাবিক কার্য, অভ্যস্থতা, নিত্য নৈমিত্তিক ঘটনা ইত্যাদি বুঝানো হয়। বাংলায় এর ক্রিয়াবিভক্তি হয় - করি, করিস, কর, করেন ইত্যাদি।
Structure (গঠন):
• Affirmative: Subject + Verb (base form)
• Negative: Subject + Do/Does + Not + Verb (base form)
• Interrogative: Do/Does + Subject + Verb (base form)?
• Negative-Interrogative: Do/Does + Subject + Not + Verb (base form)?
Examples (উদাহরণ):
• Affirmative:
• He buys books.
• I work.
• Negative:
• He doesn't buy books.
• I do not work.
• Interrogative:
• Does he buy books?
• Do I work?
• Negative-Interrogative:
• Doesn't he buy books?
• Do I not work?
Usage (ব্যবহার):
1. Habitual Actions (অভ্যাস বা অভ্যস্থতা):
• He smokes.
• Dogs bark.
2. Universal Truths (চিরন্তন সত্য):
• The sun rises in the east.
3. Scheduled Events (নিকট ভবিষ্যত):
• Ramadan begins next month.
4. Timeless Facts (স্বাভাবিক কার্য):
• Water boils at 100°C.
Additional Notes:
• Adverbs/Adverbial Phrases: Always, never, sometimes, usually, etc., often indicate habitual actions.
• Example: He always works at night.
• Negative Sentences: Use 'do not' or 'does not'.
• Example: He does not eat fish.
• Interrogative Sentences: Start with 'Do' or 'Does'.
